"The Trump administration’s approach to ending the Russia-Ukraine war has basically been to take Moscow’s side in the conflict. Trump has falsely said that Ukraine started the war and called President Volodymyr Zelensky a dictator. His administration has conceded several Russian positions in advance: that Ukraine will not join NATO, that much of the territory Russia has seized will not be returned, and that the size of Ukraine’s military needs to be limited."
