Russia unleashed a massive overnight assault on Kyiv, firing 125 drones, 25 ballistic missiles, 10 Zircon hypersonic missiles, and six more missiles in one of the biggest attacks on the capital in months.

President Volodymyr Zelensky called it one of Russia's largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv, once again urging allies to speed up deliveries of air-defense systems capable of stopping ballistic missiles.

At least 1 person was killed and 16 were injured, with several victims in serious condition. Air defenses intercepted much of the barrage, but dozens of missiles and drones still slammed into the city, setting apartment buildings, warehouses, supermarkets, and commercial sites ablaze.

Residents described hours of relentless explosions. "It was the scariest night of my life," one Kyiv local said after her apartment building was damaged by the blast.

The Lukianivska district was among the hardest hit, with burned-out cars, shattered homes, and the metro station forced to close after suffering damage. Rescue crews pulled people from burning buildings while firefighters battled multiple blazes across the capital.

Even after the attack, life pushed on. Vendors returned to the local market at daybreak, determined to open despite the destruction. One dairy seller, whose only son has been missing in action for six months, summed up the resilience of many Ukrainians: "I have to keep working and keep hoping." ❤️
